Summer blogging

Activity 2
On Google, research the country that you have chosen to visit and write, in your own words, three interesting facts about that country. They must be facts that weren’t already provided on the World Map.

1. Canada is the World's Most Educated Country.
2.Sometimes in Canada it gets really cold.
3.Canada has lots of lakes compared to other countries.

  1. Hi Mei,

We certainly do have many many lakes in Canada, and many large and small rivers, creeks and bogs. We are a land of rock and water!

I agree that we are a country that values education so we encourage all of our children to learn as much as possible, for as long as possible. Hopefully our students, when they graduate from school, have a lot to offer the world.

I'm glad that you are choosing to do this extra program this summer. Good for you!!

  2. Bula vinaka Mei,

Great fact hunting! I never knew that Canada was the most educated country in the world? Does that mean more kids go to school there, or more students go to University?

It sounds like a great country to visit. I've always loved going to school, do you like school at St Pius Mei? If you went to school in Canada you'd be surrounded by all of the lakes and rivers they have there! Did you know that Canada has more lakes in their country than the rest of the world combined?? I'm not sure how many of them you could swim in though.. It gets very, very cold there!

I agree with Leslie, I'm so happy that you chose to join us on the Summer Learning Journey. Keep it up!

    Dan.
