  1. Hi Mei,

Good for you - you've found the weather website and learned how to read it!

We certainly have had lots of very cold days this winter in Canada! We have to wear lots of clothing each day when we head out for walks as it can actually be dangerous to get too cold.

I love the winter, though, because it's often very beautiful to see snow covering the earth and blanketing the trees and bushes. Our rivers and lakes freeze over and so we can walk on them and/or skate on them if it stays cold long enough. That's fun! And, of course, our children love sliding down snow-covered hills on toboggans or sleds. Lots of fun!

Perhaps one day you'll come to Canada and see all of the snow for yourself!

  2. Hi Mei,

Oh wow... -24 degrees at night?? That's colder than my freezer! I'm not sure how I would cope with that kind of cold. You're going to have to make sure you pack all sorts of warm clothes for your trip I think. I'd suggest packing lots of merino thermals! Merino is a type of New Zealand wool that is really good at keeping you warm :-)

Now that you know the temperature and forecast for your time in Canada, you can start planning what sort of activities you'll be able to do. What do you think you would like to do when you're there? Where would you want to go? First thing I'd want to do is build a massive snowman! I've never done that before, but it would be so much fun.

Well done on another great blog Mei, keep going :-)

    Cheers,
    Dan.
