Example 82 - 37

Step one

80 + 2 - 30 + 7

Step 2

80 - 30 = 50

Step 3

50 + 2 - 7 =43

Step 4

43 + 2= 45

I know my answer is correct when I check it.

37 + 45   =82

Step 1

30 + 7 + 40 + 5

Step 2

30 + 40 = 70

Step 3

7 + 5 = 12

Step 4

70 + 12 = 82
